A NASA mining mission on the moon has been in the works for several years and now the construction of the lander and rover that will journey to the moon is currently underway. NASA has decided to partner with Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology in Taiwan to build the lunar lander that is currently set to launch in the early 2020s. The mission's goal is to finally prove that important materials can be mined on the moon, which could result in humanity reaching farther into deep space.
