Colonization of Indochina defeat at Dien Bien Phu , Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians but the Chinese are Asian community in France. At the beginning of the century, France is a popular destination for traders and intellectuals came to study Western culture, but it's 14-18 as later during the Second World War comes the majority of Asians in France requisitioned to contribute to the french war effort . In the interwar years , Paris, whose reputation in Fine Arts has become global , also attracts a whole generation of artists . The biggest names in Japanese art which Foujita , Kuroda alongside Modigliani , Picasso and Cocteau while France of the Revolution and the Enlightenment inspired the young students from China and Indochina which some Zhou Enlai , the future Prime Minister of the People's Republic China or Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's future president.

The French government is committed to welcoming political refugees from its former colony . This exile is an unprecedented wave of immigration which descends most Asian nationals of France today. They give birth to the first French Chinatown in Paris in the 13th arrondissement .  Generation of political refugees to their children through the wave of immigrants from the openness and economic liberalization policy introduced in the 1990s by the governments of Asian countries, the Asian community France has developed greatly in recent decades. Unlike the discrete integration of their parents, the new generations, who run businesses , swell the ranks of students and actively contribute to the economic development of their countries of origin, now claim to belong to the French company and aspire to make their voices heard.
