Artist Danh Vo recalls taking his father to the Hôtel Majestic in Paris, where the Paris Peace Accords were signed in January 1973. The ill-fated agreement between the United States and the governments of North and South Vietnam was executed under three ornate chandeliers, now displayed in the artist’s exhibition. Vo says, “I wanted my father to see the space. I thought it might be relevant, since it’s his history, not mine.”
